I need a Power of Attorney sent to my broker. How do I get that done?

We can send you a copy of a Power of Attorney by mail, fax or email, which you can then forward to your broker. To request a power of attorney:

  • Phone us at (403) 296-0191 or toll free at 1 (877) 676-6966, or
  • Fax your request to (403) 296-0192, or
  • Email your request to leasing@mercadocapital.com

Note that a Power of Attorney request can take up to 3 business days to complete.

How do I find my lease number?

Your lease number can be found in the top right-hand corner of your monthly statements from us. If you do not have your monthly statement we can provide your lease number to you by email, phone or fax. To request your lease number:

I'm changing bank accounts. What do I need to do?

When you update your bank accounts we must add your new information to our records to ensure that your account does not go into arrears. Send a copy of a voided cheque (write "VOID" across the front of the cheque) for your new account by fax to (403) 296-0192. Be sure to include your name, lease number and a phone number at which you can be reached. Note that it can take up to 5 business days to update our records.

I want to defer a payment. How do I do that?

A Mercado Capital Corporation representative must authorize the deferment of payments. To defer your payment contact your account manager (see a list here) or, if you do not know who your account manager is, request a payment deferment in the following ways:

I've received a letter requesting proof of insurance. What should I do?

Most equipment leasing contracts require that you prove that the leased equipment is insured. Your insurance company should provide you with a copy of the policy. If you do not have a copy of the policy you must contact your insurance company to obtain a copy. This should then be faxed to (403) 296-0192. Be sure to include your name, lease number and a phone number at which you can be reached.
